Our Mission

The Sedalia Artists Community supports local Artists and student Artists to promote their art and create/sustain a platform by which to build their business by (1) organizing local Art and Educational events; (2) supporting innovation; and, (3) supporting local community events, education and activities.

Our Vision

Empower local Artists, Artisans, and, Businesses to organize a non-profit Sedalia Artists Community Center: (1) where Artists display, create, promote their work; (2) where  support is provided for the residential community; (3) where Artists organize community Art and Educational events to create and display work; (4) where volunteer art projects are encouraged within the community; and, (5) where Artists are supported to become well known locally, state wide, nationally and beyond.

Goals:

Our goal is to promote Artists, Sedalia Businesses and Non-Profits while developing a Sedalia Artists Community

Center for all residents in our community.

Short Term Goals:

December 2022-December 2023

  • Marketing SAC non-profit to promote artists and business memberships
  • Leasing commercial space for events
  • Developing sustainable regular income for SAC non-profit

Long Term Goals:

January 2022 – December 2027

  • Planning / Implementing annual artists shows/sales events, community events, educational activities
  • Creating/Implementing programs for all ages in the community, including after-school programs.
  • Acquiring a permanent location and building to house the Sedalia Artists Community Center.
  • Our Sedalia Artists Community is inclusive with artists, artisans, ceramics, crafters, entrepreneurs, musicians,
  • photographers, potters, quilters, stained glass, techno-art, welders and writers.
